College Staff Titles

The lineage of the Sovereigns of Arms is well documented, but similar records are not kept for the staff who serve as deputies to Laurel.

This page endeavors to help close that gap by noting the lineage of certain staff positions and office titles.

Some of the information herein was drawn from Cover Letters and related communications, while other portions were filled in by members of the College.

Clarion Herald, Heraldic Education

Since 2012, this title has been given to the officer for heraldic education, but before then it was associated with other roles.
